1-Cuando empezaste a pintar y por qué ?
Mis primeros pasos en este mundo comienzan en el año 2006, yo tenía 12 años y me juntaba con un vecino que con sus amigos empezó a hacer firmas por la calle, ahí me empecé a fijar en todo el Graffiti que me rodeaba y comenzó una conexión que a día de hoy se ha ido de las manos.
1- When did you start painting and why?
My first steps in this world began in 2006, I was 12 years old and I hung out with a neighbor who, with his friends, started signing signatures on the street. There I started to notice all the graffiti that surrounded me and a connection began that has gotten out of hand today.
2-Con quien salías en tus inicios?
En ese año que veía a mi vecino no tarde en juntarme con unos amigos con los que hacía parkour que les entró la misma inquietud y comenzamos a pintar todos, sus firmas eran:
MÑO, DXO, FORS, EXON, ROY, NORE y más amigos que no recuerdo que ponían, a día de hoy el único que sigue pintando soy yo.
2- Who did you date when you started?
In that year that I saw my neighbor, it didn’t take long for me to join some friends with whom I did parkour and who had the same interest and we all started painting, their signatures were:
MÑO, DXO, FORS, EXON, ROY, NORE and more friends that I don’t remember what they used to paint, to this day the only one who continues painting is me.
3-Influencia en el Graffiti?
Mi influencia siempre ha sido local, de mi ciudad ya que era lo único que veía, el internet no estaba como ahora y las revistas no estaban a mi alcance ya que yo era bastante pequeño.
El primero que me empezó a influenciar fue un escritor de mi barrio que cada día íbamos a buscar por el barrio si había pintado esa noche, el firmaba DOME.
También una gran influencia fue la KONTRA KORRIENTE CREW ya que pintaban también mucho vandal por mi barrio, DOOM, IRA y COCO, que a día de hoy son unos grandes amigos míos y fueron los primeros “mayores” que me acogieron siendo yo bastante pequeño y me llevaban a pintar con ellos.
Y al mismo tiempo empecé a fijarme en los muros más trabajados y ahí descubrí a SHER que ha sido el mayor referente en lo que viene siendo letras y piezas, no fue hasta el 2018 que le conocí pero desde entonces siempre pintamos juntos y también tenemos una gran amistad.
3- Influence on Graffiti?
My influence has always been local, from my city, since it was the only thing I saw. The internet wasn’t like it is now, and magazines weren’t within my reach since I was quite young.
The first person who began to influence me was a writer from my neighborhood who we would go around the neighborhood every day to see if he had painted that night; he signed DOME.
Also a big influence was the KONTRA KORRIENTE CREW as they also painted a lot of vandalism in my neighborhood, DOOM, IRA and COCO, who today are great friends of mine and were the first “grown-ups” who welcomed me when I was quite young and took me to paint with them.
I also began to pay attention to the more detailed murals, and that’s where I found SHER. He’s been a huge influence on my lettering and artwork. I didn’t meet him until 2018, but we’ve been painting together and close friends ever since.
4-Que sensaciones tienes cada vez que estás pintando?
Pintar es una terapia de liberación de estrés, siento una paz y desconexión que no podría alcanzar con ninguna otra cosa.
Sobretodo me gusta saber que cada año lo llevo a un paso más y ves la evolución con los años y te das cuenta del progreso y la capacidad de creatividad que puedes llegar a tener y eso es una sensación que no se puede describir con palabras.
4- What sensations do you have every time you are painting?
Painting is a stress-relieving therapy; I feel a sense of peace and disconnection that I couldn’t achieve with anything else.
Above all, I like knowing that every year I take it a step further and you see the evolution over the years and you realize the progress and the capacity for creativity that you can achieve, and that is a feeling that cannot be described with words.
5-Cómo definirías tu estilo?
Mi estilo es una mezcla de estilos, no puedo definirlo de ninguna forma, pero si le tuviera que poner un nombre le denominaría estilo Europeo.
Pienso que cada persona tiene un estilo que debe de pulir y crear hasta llegar a un punto de que vean una producción tuya cualquier persona y ya sepan de quién es aunque no te conozcan, ese es el mejor estilo que hay y el único que debería existir.
5- How would you define your style?
My style is a mix of different styles; I can’t really define it in any specific way, but if I had to give it a name, I would call it European style
I think every person has a style that they must polish and create until they reach a point where anyone who sees your work knows who it is, even if they don’t know you. That’s the best style there is and the only one that should exist.
6-Que te da el Graffiti?
Salud mental, y muchas amistades que jamás hubiera conocido de otra forma.
6- What does Graffiti give you?
Mental health, and many friendships I would never have met otherwise.
7-Lugares o superficies favoritas para pintar?
Mis sitios preferidos para pintar son los sitios abandonados con spots únicos, he pintado en un casino, hoteles, piscinas, un balneario, centro deportivos y una larga lista… los sitios abandonados son únicos.
Pero es verdad que a día de hoy prefiero hacer una gran producción en un muro o fachada a pie de calle que lo pueda ver todo el mundo.
7- Favorite places or surfaces to paint?
My favorite places to paint are abandoned spots with unique features. I’ve painted in a casino, hotels, swimming pools, a spa, sports centers, and a long list of others… Abandoned places are truly one of a kind.
But it’s true that nowadays I prefer to do a big production on a wall or facade at street level, where everyone can see it .
8-Que es lo primero que se te pasa por la cabeza cuando oyes la palabra Graffiti?
Color, caos, salvaje y a la vez concordancia y armonía .
8- What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word Graffiti?
Color, chaos, wildness, and at the same time, coherence and harmony.
9-Qué pintura sueles usar cuando sales a pintar?
No voy a nombrar marcas ya que la que suelo usar es pintura que me he encontrado en sitios abandonados, por la calle o pintura que me ha sobrado de algún trabajo.
La pintura gratis es mi preferida.
9- What paint do you usually use when you go out painting?
I’m not going to mention any brands, since the paint I usually use is stuff I’ve found in abandoned places, on the street, or leftover from other jobs.
Free paint is my favorite.
10-Sueles hacer Bocetos para preparar un muro?
Nunca he hecho bocetos para preparar un muro, siempre he ido a mano alzada ya que no he sido mucho de dibujar en papel, y lo que he dibujado me quedaba más simple de lo que me suelo hacer en la pared.
Si que es verdad que a raíz de hacer dibujos digitales desde hace dos años que me compre un iPad, he notado una mejora increíble en la pared ya que permite hacer cosas con mucha facilidad que nunca se me hubieran ocurrido.
10- Do you usually make sketches to prepare a wall?
I’ve never made sketches to prepare a wall; I’ve always worked freehand since I haven’t been much into drawing on paper, and what I did draw ended up simpler than what I usually create on the wall
It’s true that since I started doing digital drawings two years ago when I bought an iPad, I’ve noticed an incredible improvement on the wall because it allows me to do things with much more ease that I never would have thought of before.
